MLS debut for Bourdeau

Almost nine months after receiving his FIFA badge, Mathieu Bourdeau will referee his first MLS game, Toronto FC - Colorado Rapids. Bourdeau (35) made his professional debut in 2007, when he refereed Vancouver Whitecaps - Rochester Rhinos, in the second division. In 2009, he was appointed for the first time as fourth official in MLS. Last year, Bourdeau was nominated by the CSA and became a FIFA referee as of 1 January 2015. During this year, he was appointed to a FIFA World Cup qualifier, CONCACAF U-17 Championship, Pan American Games, Champions Trophy and international friendly matches. He also attended the annual UEFA summer course for top referees in Switzerland.
