Terry Vaughn is a former MLS referee who worked many games along with Canadian referees and assistant referees. He refereed at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada and also worked other high profile events through the years, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup and CONCACAF Champions League in 2009 and 2010, before his dismissal from U.S. Soccer at the end of 2011. He has since helped with referees in Iowa and the Iowa Referee Academy was renamed the Terry Vaughn Referee Academy in his honour.
It was learned that Vaughn (photo) has been diagnosed with the Huntington disease (HD), a genetic condition that causes the deterioration of nerve cells in the brain. It has no known cure and is fatal. A fellow referee, Steve Siomos, has started a donations page to help Terry and his wife Kim with the medical costs.

National referee Chris Grabas (photo) recently attended the summer training camp of the French futsal referees.
According to a collaboration agreement between the Quebec Soccer Federation (QSF) and the French Football Federation (FFF), two match officials from Quebec are invited to attend annually the summer preparations of the French referees. Following the participation of the assistant referee Lyes Arfa in the Ligue 2 camp in July, referee Chris Grabas attended the stage for futsal referees at Clairefontaine on 26-28 August 2016.
