Canada Soccer Awards 2016: Chenard and Morisset

The 2016 International Achievement Award, which recognizes outstanding work as an active referee or assistant referee within his/her provincial/territorial and/or national association and become a leader and an example to his/her fellow referees prior to as well as during the five years that his/her name appeared on FIFA�s List of Match Officials, was presented to Carol Anne Chenard. She started refereeing at only 15 and became a FIFA Referee in 2006. Chenard was appointed as a referee to the 2008 CONCACAF Women�s U-20 Championship, 2008 CONCACAF Women�s Under-17 Championship, 2008 Women�s Olympic Football Tournament, FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup 2008 (including the Korea DPR-France semi-final), FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup 2010 (including the Germany-Nigeria final), FIFA Women�s World Cup 2011 (including the Japan-Sweden semi-final), 2012 Women�s Olympic Football Tournament, 2014 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship, FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup 2014 (including the final match in Montreal), 2014 CONCACAF Women�s Championship, FIFA Women�s World Cup 2015 and recently to the 2016 Women�s Olympic Football Tournament.
The 2015 Ray Morgan Award, presented to the referee whose performance at the national and international level is the most deserving of recognition for the year, was presented to Suzanne Morisset. She was 13 years old when she started refereeing and became a FIFA Assistant Referees in 2008. Morisset was appointed as an assistant referee for the FIFA U-17 Women�s World Cup, CONCACAF Women�s U-17 Championship 2012, FIFA U-17 Women�s World Cup 2012, FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup 2014 (including the final match in Montreal), FIFA Women�s World Cup 2015 and the 2016 Women�s Olympic Football Tournament.
