Carol Anne Chenard is writing history in the Canadian soccer refereeing. After having already refereed the FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup final twice (2010 and 2014), she has been appointed to the women�s final at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Another Canadian referee, Sonia Denoncourt, had the same honour 16 years ago, when she refereed the final Norway - USA (3-2) in Sydney.
