Vergara assessing at 2016 Rio Olympics

Canadian Hector Vergara has been appointed as a referee assessor to the 2016 Olympic Football Tournament in Rio de Janeiro. Former World Cup assistant referee (2002, 2006, 2010), Vergara (photo) is currently a member of both FIFA Referees Committee and CONCACAF Referees Committee. At the 2016 Olympics, he will be assessing referees appointed to all matches (men and women) played in Salvador, starting on 4 August 2016 with Mexico � Germany and Fiji � Korea.
